Learn to resolve it, become resilient to it, and manage it before you burn out.

Face it, if you are human, and you are alive, you have stress.  There are more demands on your time, your body, your money, and your family right now than any other generation has ever had to endure.

You need a clone, most days, don’t you?  There never seems to be enough hours in the day for you to earn the money that you need to survive, take care of the ones who depend on you, and still find time to eat and sleep.

Stress compounds.  Unless you are able to find ways to remove the stress from your life it builds and builds until catastrophe strikes. 



Are you at risk for burnout? 

Do you find yourself subjected to more and more added stress without ever really getting a break, or knowing exactly how to become resilient to the effects that it has on your life?

I know you, you remind me a lot of myself.  You are a doer and a dreamer with a heart that wants to save the world.  But you’re tired, aren’t you?  And angry for reasons that you just can’t quite put your finger on. You have this cynical attitude that lies just below your smiling exterior, and it takes so much energy to keep those feeling hidden sometimes, doesn’t it?


Why do you feel like this?  Isn’t this life exactly what you asked for?

Didn’t you work your booty off to be exactly where you are right now?

I know.  Like, I really know.

From the outside everything looks great, but on the inside you are really needing something else.

You need understanding.  You need compassion.  You need someone who really gets it to look you right in the eye and tell you that you have every right to feel the way you do.

You are doing too much, responsible for too many things, and you are balancing everything on this tiny little tightrope.

You are one little mis-step in judgement away from feeling like the entire thing is going to come crashing down.


You are a badass.  An I-can-do-it-all-by-myself-rock star. You have owned it, probably fooled quite a few people along the way, and now it’s time to stop pretending.  Now it’s time to let go of your constant need for busy-ness and chaos. It’s time to get out from under this heavy blanket of stress and worry.

Nobody is coming to save you.  Hell, you don’t even let anyone know exactly what you need, so how could anyone even know what they could do for you?  That’s the trouble with us, you know.  We get so good at managing so many moving parts to this big machine, that we become part of this machine, like if we step away, even for a second, the whole thing will come to a complete stop.

This big-machine-life that you’ve built now has you trapped.  And you’re exhausted, aren’t you?

Everything feels heavy.  It’s hard to get excited about things, you have no time to do the things you’d really like to do, because it is just so much easier to keep doing everything that you’re doing than to explain how to do it to someone else, and they wouldn’t do it the same way as you anyway.

You just wish that you had others to help you.  There is so much to do, and there is just no break from it.

  • You aren’t sleeping well.

  • You aren’t eating well.

  • You feel like others take advantage of you.

  • You get sick more often, and feel run down.

  • You are feeling resentment towards people you care about.

  • You wonder why you even bother sometimes.

  • You find it hard to come up with creative solutions to your problems.

  • You feel like something has to give.

  • You don’t want to burden others with your problems.

  • You thought you wanted what you have, yet you don’t feel satisfied.

  • You have a giving heart, yet consistently put your own needs behind others.

  • You are irritable, and often cranky with people.

  • You feel like nobody understands.


Let me tell you what nobody in your life has the balls to tell you, I know this, because nobody would tell me…

You are failing.

You cannot do everything.

You are stubborn, and things in your life are suffering as a result.


But…and this is a big but…there is a way for you to be everything, do everything, and have everything you want, AND be completely happy.  It’s just not in the way you’ve been doing it. You are just doing it wrong right now.

So how?  How can you want what you have, have what you want, and find joy in your life again?

I’m so glad you asked.


First let me tell you a little bit about me.

I’m an overachiever.  I’ve prided myself on filling my plate with so many things that there were often times that I didn’t even have a moment to eat, like for days.  Everyone needed me, or at least a little piece of me, and whatever was left over was what I would get for me. (That was usually nothing)

From the outside things looked great.  I found it a compliment when people would ask how I managed to accomplish so many things and make everything look so easy.

But it wasn’t easy.  Nothing about it was easy.  I felt like my entire life was spent just treading water, shuffling from one commitment to the next, spinning in circles.

I’ve raised my 3 kids as a solo parent while my husband traveled for work, had multiple businesses, wrote books, sat on every committee or board that asked, looked after a farm full of animals, coached, instructed, facilitated, spoke, traveled, won business awards, managed employees, and finally burnt out big time.

I ignored every warning sign that my body and brain were sending my way.  I brushed them aside, you see, I was tough, and I wasn’t going to stop.  Broken bones didn’t stop me, hunger wouldn’t stop me, illness couldn’t stop me.  I had to keep going.  People were depending on me.  I couldn’t let anyone down. And damn it, I could do it all, and make it look easy.

And eventually, after a few years, it all caught up.  I crashed.  I suffered a show-stopping health crisis because my entire life was in dis-ease and out of harmony.  The scales were tipped, and everything I tried to keep in balance spilled over into one messy heap. Here’s the thing that should terrify you; it is inevitable that if you don’t take control over your own well-being now, then you will eventually be put into a situation where it’s out of your hands.

Something had to change. I no longer had a choice.

I enjoyed being busy, I like having a purpose and I love contributing to the world. And I really, really liked being in control of everything.

But suddenly I had to modify it in a way that meant that my needs were top priority.  It always felt greedy for me to put my needs first.  But now I finally understood how selfish it was for me to put myself last.  I wasn’t serving others with my best self, everyone was only getting a shadow of who I was because I had become such a shell of a person by spreading myself too thin.

I was a diluted version of myself, and that did little to serve anyone.

It’s only after my burnout did I realize that along the way I had so many options for ways to reduce my stress, but I was too exhausted to even see that. You can’t see solutions when you are standing in the middle of a giant mess.

Listen to me now, because I’ve been where you are, and I have made it to the other side; you can still have everything you want, but in a way that doesn’t kill you in the process.  Isn’t that amazing?

You need a plan so that you can finally enjoy this life, and stop trying so hard to keep up this exhausting superhero façade.


So now what?

If I was a magician you could simply pay me to wave my magic wand over your life and all the stress would disappear.  But I’m not, so you can’t.  I am, however, the queen of being able to see exactly what you need to do, and in what steps, because I have been in your shoes.  I’ve also learned a great deal about resiliency and how to take compounded stress and get rid of it completely, while still being a badass and contributing and serving far better that I ever have before. We will work together and create a plan of attack over the stress in your life, and in the process develop a strong sense of inner strength so that you will not ever have to suffer through the pain and weight of the world on your shoulders again. Stress is inevitable in life, but suffering isn't.  Let's get you lighter, stronger, and better prepared, okay?


Remember, it’s not the load that hurts you, it’s the way you carry it.

  • You are open to saying no, even if it will disappoint people.

  • You don't know how to do this by yourself.

  • You are ready to be a better version of you.

  • You know that you cannot continue at the pace you are working at now.

  • You are open to new ideas and techniques.

  • You are willing to invest time and resources into your well-being.
